News: Lollywood figures slam manhandling of Shakeel
News Aliya AliThe lollywood actors and actress have condemned the harassment of a prominent Pakistan's television and stage actor Shakeel Siddiqui who was beaten up by some Indian fundamentalist elements in Mumbai.

Shakeel was expected to perform in the famous show 'Comedy Circus'. For that purpose he was staying in Mumbai, but it seems a group of thugs belonging to Nationalist/fundamentalist Indian mindset has badly beaten the terrific comedian.In a statement , Aliya Ali slammed the extremists for their coward attempt to terrify a man serving the art. She said such actions might hamper the media relations between both the countries. Separately, noted drama director Dr Ajmal, Megha, Muskan Khan Shahid Khan, Babu Baral, Sakhawar Naz and others condemned the incident, terming it a bid to affect media relations between the two states.They said the India artistes should respect their counter parts as if they want to be respected they should respect Pakistani artistes in thier homeland.

News A prominent Pakistan's television and stage actor Shakeel Siddiqui was beaten up by some Indian fundamentalist elements in Mumbai on Wednesday, a news daily reported.

Famous comedian Shakeel was expected to perform in the famous show 'Comedy Circus'. For that purpose he was staying in Mumbai, but it seems a group of thugs belonging to Nationalist/fundamentalist Indian mindset has badly beaten the terrific comedian. At the moment it seems a horrible news, as Shakeel has been a famous person in India and was a source of bringing joy to million of faces all across the sub-continent. It will be interesting to see how this story unfolds and how it would affect the media relations between both the countries. ' Ghajini' is just released in Pakistan after a slight delay and this horrific news is going to further affect the constant deteriorating situation between the two nuclear Nations.

News NirmaThe nation's sweetheart and Lollywood Actress Nirma has strongly condemned the blasts at The Mall and Kurtuba road here Saturday.

Taking to The Media, she said certainly the act of hurting anybody was in no capacity appropriate. She expressed strong disapproval of the terrorism activities in the country, especially at The Mall and Kurtuba road. She said that no doubt president Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani were doing their best to tackle various crises in the country, however, the Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's spirit is need of the hour to save and protect the country.

News Artistes Condemn Lahore BlastsThe actresses and directors have strongly condemned the strikes inside and outside the Lahore theatres.

In their separate statements, various lollywood figures including director Dr Ajmal Malik, Megha, Aliya Ali, Kiren Butt Shanza Khan, Sheeba, Abid Kashmiri and others have condemned the blasts and termed the act a coward attempt to shatter the people serving the art.

In her statement, Aliya Ali, a model and TV actress, said the elements involved in such acts were anti-state people who want to shatter the people serving for the art.

News: Zuberi Reaches Lahore For Recording Of A TV Serial
News Laila ZuberiActress Laila Zuberi has reached Lahore for the recording of a drama serial 'Tarey Pehloo Main'. The recording of the serial is being carried out at a studio at Badian Road.

The serials directors are M Usman and Zulfiqar Ali. Other artists are Jamal Shah, Sara Ch, Deeba baigum, Kamran Mujahid, Tanveer Malik and Farooq Zamee.
