News: Lollywood Idol : Reality byte |
Well if you’re an avid viewer of TV in Lahore or Karachi it won’t be. Hero Banay Ke Tarang is the first reality talent show to air in Pakistan, yet refreshingly doesn’t depict the journey of the next wannabe Madonna or Bon Jovi. Instead of hopefuls displaying just their singing talents, Hero focuses on male actors trying to make it into the film industry and become Lollywood’s equivalent to Shah Rukh Khan or Hrithik Roshan.
Throughout their time on the show, the amateur thespians not only try to win over the public vote but have to impress the panel of three judges: film actor Rambo, director Syed Noor and legendary actress Resham, for a chance to take home the most elusive of prizes in show business; a film contract.

News: Sohnya By Hadiqa Kiyani |
AASMAN, Hadiqas latest album has made ripples in the music industry
taking her flagship track Sohnya, to hit the 'most wanted/played videos' on every music channel. Hadiqa Kiyani, who had taken the entire nation by storm with her Boohae Bariyan mega hit number, once again, has appeared from behind the curtains with a pert performance and a real treat that Sohnya is. Critically speaking, the song is in typical Hadiqa style, mellowed and treated vocals with a thumping retro kick doubled by a mediocre pluck bass. Nevertheless, the beat is still good.

DHOOM TANA By Shahzaman Alam |
The track starts with an alaap of a tinny nature. The sound, acidic
nirvana genre conventionally brings in the rhythm, bass, cabasas,
percussions, etc. as much as every artist is bound to say that much
effort has been put in but the never-ending 1990s are supremely
predominant in the songs almost 24 utilised tracks. It won't be difficult to say that the unexpected doesn't arise anywhere.
Apart from being a pop genre song the theme of the track slants to a slight spirituality which is certainly not clear as to which side the lyrics would bend next. Overall the listening experience is not bad and may even be a treat to some, the track 'Dhoom Tana' revives the much blazed glory of the days gone by in consecutive order to music and celeb act itself.
