News: Umer Sharif refuses Indian offer for Laughter Challenge |

  Pakistan stage actor Umer Sharif has refused to perform in an Indian comedy programme "Laughter Challenge".
According to details, a producer of Indian TV had offered Omer Sharif to perform the duties of a judge in "Laughter Challenge" but he did not accept the proposal. He said he was busy performing as judge in Pakistani comedy shows and had no spare time to go to India. It is pertinent to mention that Indian private TV channels have also invited many Pakistani comedians including Naseem Viki, Tariq Teddy, Nasir Chinioti, Zafari Khan.

 Even marriage couldn't stop her from getting back to the arch lights. Though once married, one ceases to become a saleable actress. Not that she was one, but then, who is, in Lollywood? Noor, the petite actress who was more known for her Rapunzel hair, has made a comeback amongst rumours that her return to the filmdom has come about because of differences in her marriage. In a statement denying the rumour, Noor said that she is working with the full support of her husband who has no issues whatsoever regarding her return to the showbiz world. The actress has gone back to Dubai to join hubby dearest after finishing work on an upcoming drama serial as well as wrapping up her bit of shoot in the film Zilay Shah which is actor/director Shaan's next venture.

 Well, there is good news from director Syed Noor in regard to his new film. No folks, he is not planning to say ciao to Saimaji, she was and is his heroine in real and reel life. News is that after the stupendous success of Majajan, the director is now working on a comedy film.  The film is said to be in the process and stars his favourite jori — none other than Shahji’s muse… oops! we meant wife Saima and the reinvented Shaan. A comedy film coming from Syed Noor is being seen as a good omen for the already depilated film industry. Hope the film proves to be a saviour after all.

News: Surayya Khanum pays tribute to Mehdi Hassan |

Singer Surayya Khanum has arranged an event to pay tribute to the music legend of subcontinent Mehdi Hassan. The function took place yesterday night (Tuesday) where singers including Tarannum Naz, Azra Jahan, Saima Jahan, Assia Khan, Shaukaut Ali, Mohsin Shaukat, Bilal Hyder, Tariq Wazir, Shahbaz Khan and others were present. The whole crowd gathered around the famous classical singer upon his arrival that brought emotional and tearful. It is pertinent to mention Mehdi Hassan had been seriously ill for a long time.

News: Shan to produce Billo Shikra |

 Shan as film maker, director will produce his own creation "Billo Shikra". The preparation for the film is being carried on. Shan will perform the pivotal role with Nargis as heroin. The other cast will be announced soon. The movie will release on Eid-ul-Fitr.
